When I speak of advance resolution I mean exactly the PPCM track. Not any LPCM at higher resolution.
If you read my post I have always made clear that I was talking about a Dual Disc Video but and not a Dual Disc with DVD-Audio content only. I am not surprised that it was coded other than the fact that it was not coded 0.I just thought: there are Dual Discs out there with both a DVD part and DVD-A part. And if the DVD part is coded that the player might not except the DVD-A part because of the menue issue.
BUT.....know I understand what you mean. :-)))) It just made click. You are saying: even though the PPCM track might be on a Disc which contains a DAD track that is coded it alway remains readable for DVD-A machines. Just the DAD track is coded. And not even the MENUE to choose the DVD-A track from is in connection to that. And that was, actually, what I did not know. I assumed, that the menue is in the DAD part which might be coded.
I assumed that discs with a menue, where you can choose between a i.e. a DTS track and the PPCM are at least coded 0 because of the menue, which is a visual. I did not know that the DVD-A track can still be accessed directly. I hope I could now get accross what I meant and even though it was not correct.
Thank you for the explanations.

Im glad my effort helped.
Please bear in mind I was really trying to help the original poster .
It didnt help that he has not listed his equipment so we dont know whether he has a genuine DVDA player.
My own opinion was that either of the two DVD bases formats could have helped themselves if one had distinctly called itself AudioDVD.or ADVD.

If you try using Web based search engines to find genuines DVD-A ? you are more likely to get a mixture of DVDA DAD AND Normal Music DVDs.

Even if you find a genuine DVDA there are so many with derived or no genuine stereo track. This has not improved much with the now defunct Dual Disc.Is anyone still pressing these?.

I should add that I have since heard that a few Dual discs (DVD) were in fact region coded.?

I don't have a DVD-Audio player, just a PS3 & I'm a big fan of the Grateful Dead's Workingman's Dead album so I want to get the DVD-Audio German import, if only to hear the Dolby mix..... I live in the U.S. & would hate to spend my money on something that I won't be able to play due to DVD region issues.

I think you are better going to a dedicated PS3 forum and asking that question.
Though I agree with Ear that you should be ok but their is a small risk.

From memory (it was over a year ago)A Dual disc coded US region had a video content in black and white even when I hacked the code.I wasnt using NTSC/pal converter.
I wasnt brave enough to try it in any good machines just a PC/DVD drive.I Did try it in a Pioneer 747 as well and it was the same. Cannot even remember the title.

There is one at http://www.ps3sacd.com/forums where high-res / surround sound music on PS3 is discussed frequently.
