I am interested in getting a sacd player for 5.1 audio but don't want to spend a fortune on a high end player and came across the Sony SCDCE595 http://www.sony.com.au/homecinema/catalog/product.jsp?categoryId=22048. I can get one for AU$380. Does anyone have one that they can comment on? Does anyone have any other suggestions for an under AU$500 sacd player (I have no need for dvd universal)? Thanks.

I have the sony scd-xe597, which is also a cheap one payed like 190USD for it I think. As i can tell the difference between the two isn that your is a changer and mine is not.

I'm happy with my player it fits the rest of my stuff. I am goiung to upgrade my stuff soon. new speakers and the onkyo 905. you can buy it an dliosten if it is any good for you and then perhaps upgrade later on..
