I recently started playing guitar, and of course, Clapton is someone to get into! I bought this off ebay, because it appears to be out of print. I am extremely impressed with this disc! One reviewer commented about the true separation between Allman's and Clapton's guitars. I specifically noticed that on the SACD layer, you can hear one of them playing in dissonance to the other when the drums come in during the intro! Switching to the CD layer, this level of detail is completely lost!! Did anyone else notice this? At first, I thought they were playing out of tune with each other, but if you listen closely, you can hear distinct pitches, not a tuning problem. It's amazing what you can pull out of these old analog records, which would be lost to the ages (aside from old LP's) without SACD!!!

I know posting on this site should be about the SACD itself, not the merchant who's selling it, but has anyone placed an order recently with yourmusic.com?
Based on their e-mail replies, they are having MAJOR technical issues and can't ship anyone's order right now. I've been waiting for "Layla" for nearly a month!
The price is awesome of course, but to wait this long ... *sigh*
Other available SACD's from yourmusic.com include Elton John, The Kinks, Eric Clapton and several classical titles as well.
Cheers,
Dan

Mine too. No problems here. I did have a problem, however, with the Rilling SACD of Bach B Minor Mass.

I've had great luck with Yourmusic.com., in fact purchasing all the Elton Johns, Bob Dylans, Eric Claptons, the Carpenters Greatest hits and a few classical titles in the SACD format (In fact, Yellow brick Road/3 disc set including DVD was $13.98).
Lately, however, they No longer carry Sony/RCA products or Warner Brothers.....mostly Universal Music products. And their current offering is only $5.99 for each disc (they also have Marvin Gaye's Greatest Hits on SACD for $5.99 + tax (free shipping on ALL orders except international).

Well, I bought the BD-A version of that album yesterday, without noticing it already existed Under the SA-CD format. The BD-A sounds absolutely great ! But since I'm faithfull to SA-CD, I'd like some insight from someone who owns both version, in order to know whether I can buy this one ? 45€ (minimum price) is still twice what I paid for the BD-A, whence my caution.

Anthony,
Do you think many people here have both the SACD and the new BD-A, released 4 days ago and sold exclusively by the FNAC in France?
