Although the information is not listed on this site yet, this is a multi-channel release: I received the following email from Linn this morning:

Hi Bruce,

It is a Multichannel SACD. We very rarely produce any Stereo SACDs now.

All the best

Very cheap, too!

This is for Livy : I hear that Billary Colic might strike New Hampshire :-)

I'm glad to see that Mackerras hasn't slowed down much -- having heard him conduct live two years ago, he's still at the top of his game. But surely labels can find music he hasn't already recorded?

I'd like to seem some Czech music from him since he's a Czech specialist.

Telarc could also redue his Nutcracker in MC.

The Martinu symphonies would be a perfect project for him. They're great music; they aren't many cycles of them; and Mackerras is a proven conductor of Martinu.

So I hear! What's a Huckabee anyway?

Livy,
after seeing that photo of Huck with his two gargantuan sons all in matching striped shirts leaning or sitting on the garden bench with their semi-porky mum, my flippancy is silenced!

Well I am delighted they are doing the Mozart! There is a definite lack of new MCH Mozart symphonies out there, I am not happy the sound of with my Bruno Walter and George Szell Mozart recordings at all! But your Martinu idea is excellent. See if you can catch Linn's attention!

I've mentioned in this forum before my wish for a MC SACD of Mackerras conducting Janacek's Sinfonietta. This is a work well suited to being recorded in MC SACD because of the big brass choirs.

Don´t you like the one from Jonathan Nott?
