Just listened to this CD serveral times in all its formats for a whole day, I got a surprise: the CD layer is about 20% loader than the SACD counterpart (either 2-channels or multichannel).
And this happened to DG, a label I trusted for more than 20 years. I thought when they mixed down to 2 channels, they should at least go through the same postprocessing for both SACD stereo and CD layer. But obviously this is not case for this particular CD.
How common is this? I consider it as flawed, but maybe there is a better explanation.
