Unfortunately, the recording engineers placed a microphone close enough to Colin Davis to enable you to hear him hum through the whole recording. This is the worst engineering error I have heard in years. Mr. Davis needs to be told to try and conduct without humming. This is a disaster.

oh dear not again. he's done in on numerous other recordings (referred to on other threads). i've stopped buying anything conducted by him as a consequence.
