At least I can tell you that Rene Gambini, Lyrinx's sound engineer, does absolutely beautiful recordings. He's like the father of SACD in France. My guess also is that this young lady must have studied in Paris and still be there.

Yeeowl this thing is expensive! I will probably order it however because Lyrinx is a label I hope will persist with SACD. Some of their earlier recordings are of true audiophile merit. Moreover the music looks very interesting!

The Barber Sonata, a terrific piece, was a favorite of Horowitz, to whom I believe it was dedicated. Both he and Van Cliburn made excellent recordings. The last movement has the reputation of being fantastically difficult. In this piece, at least, the performance competition is fierce.

And in the Dutilleux from Hamelin and Ogdon...

I agree that Lyrinx SACDS usually have excellent sound - I recommend the French violin sonatas one, for the fine performances as well.
