hey all, I was wondering if the XA777ES can be moded to allow iLink output, and a control A1 port??

I don't understand why there is no remote on/off, or open/close or no control port so it can be controlled in a component system like all my other ES decks???? why is this?? any ideas of possibly adding some; or all of these mods...???

Opening/closing the drawer can actually be done by a remote control signal, although the button is missing on the remote that comes with the player.

The remote of my old Sony CDP-XA777ES (made in 1991) can control the SCD-XA777ES, including the drawer.

But what is the use of opening the drawer with the remote? Do you want to throw the discs into the player? ;-)

Yeah mate, thank you, but that is the least of my worries, I just want to know what mods can be done as far as iLink output or control port is concerned, I have no way of controling the unit in a componant form, I press power, and all the units come on except the SACD player, some models had this, there maybe a connection inside for a control port, I was just wondering why these features are missing, is there a way of adding them....?
