Sony BMG Masterworks certainly goes on with SACD-releases of the the Dresden Strauss series. The next on the list is "Capriccio", which will be recorded in July 2008 in the Lukaskirche as well.
It's a pleasure and great honour to record this orchestra.

That's been on their website for quite some time. The SACD briefly surfaced with a May release date in Japan, but now has been delayed. It would be nice if someone with connections could find out if it will ever see the light of day. It would be a tragedy if it were cancelled as a result of Luisi's dispute with the orchestra.

the orchestra has it seems cancelled the strauss contract with sony. i too would like to know whether this means that the zarathustra disc will not appear.
also whether sinfonia domestica had been recorded, and if so what its fate will be.
