Pettersson's 9th is finally on its way to me from the UK. (I'm the US...)

Krisjan and nucaleena:

Please, are you based in the US??

Of so, I will copy your posts to my US distributor. It would seem that they are losing out on quite a number of sales.

Hi Robert, am based in Australia but get my discs from either the UK's biggest mail order classical outlet (as in this case) or amazon.uk. Originally got a notice to the effect that the item wasn't available yet but now have confirmation of postage. Paul

Robert - yes, in the USA. Ironically, I checked that suppliers website and they indicate the disc is "in stock". I promptly dashed off yet another email to them asking why my order was cancelled if their site says it is in stock. Awaiting their response...

Dear Robert,

Neeme Jarvi made a Carl Nielsen Symphony cycle for DG. Is that performance of Symphony No. 4 & 6 the same as BIS one (BIS-600)? Thank you.

Hello again Robert,

First, many thanks for your commitment to Allan Pettersson - the 9th Symphony disc is superb. I just wanted to give you additional thanks for the excellent documentary that was included with the disc! What a delightful surprise! I'm curious as to your "timetable" for the remainder of the Pettersson symphony cycle. Not in terms of time, but as to how many discs will remain. And also, will Maestro Lindberg attempt to complete Pettersson's 17th symphony? Many thanks for your patience and keep releasing wonderful music!

Kind regards,
David

I cannot be exact about that, but I would think that there are 3-4 symphonic SACD:s left, plus the Concertos, plus the songs etc. We intend to make a Pettersson Edition with every note he ever wrote in it.

And, yes, Christian will do the 17th.

We expect the whole thing to be ready around 2017.

A Bis Pettersson Edition? *blink blink* Do my eyes deceive me? That is worth waiting 3 years for.

David

P.S.: I am in the US, and I had to order my copy of Pettersson 9 from the UK as well. A note for your distributor!
