This is Windsurfer not Primivera, but:

My guess based on your comments on the Herreweghe Beethoven on PentaTone is that you will not particularly like the light textures. However this, like the Herreweghe 5th is ALIVE! Alive partly due to period influenced performance practices; but also because Jarvi's interpretation is alert, expressive and full of fire!

The period influenced phrasing on modern instruments, and the smaller than usual symphony orchestra make for some lean string sound. Some places that seemed to the good, in others I caught myself saying "Oh give me a break". It is far from the "end-all be-all" for me but it certainly is an eye opener. I thought the last movement was amazing!

This is one I am glad I didn't miss!
