Why have you not rated the sound for this disc? I did get the feeling you thought it is fine to excellent. Those stars for sound do have meaning to a lot of us.

I have this now, listened to it three times and must say I am enjoying it thoroughly. Such quibbles as there may be regarding Hickox's interpretation - his view of the music is sometimes stately - there is magnificent playing that Chandos has captured to perfection. Other SACDs of this music my come my way but I think I will always find room for it in my listening schedule because quibbles aside, I find it enormously satisfying.

If you are addicted to great orchestral sound like I am, I think you should acquire this one.
