I have listened to the Debussy/La Mer on this disc and fully agree with Edvin's excellent review - this is definitely the best sounding version I have heard, and it's also a superb interpretation.
The programming is intriguing, and I'm off now to investigate the rest of it....

It reminds me of a CD Muti did in the '90s: La Mer, Chausson's Poeme de l'amour et de la mer, and Ravel's Une barque sur l'ocean.

I think so. Edvin, mind, pretty much sums up my feelings exactly - a spot-on assessment, in my opinion.
What I will just add for the present is that I went on to listen to the Bridge last night, and it's an equally tremendous performance. For the first time in my experience it sounded like an unheralded masterpiece.

Concerning the cover;
I gave this disc to my dad for father's day (It was a late father's day since I drove down to Baltimore to visit him for a week one week after the holiday.) We played and really enjoyed the entire disc - especially the Zhou Long - and I asked him what he thought about the cover. Mind you, he "retired" from being a recreational diver 12 years ago. At age 78, he thought he was becoming too absent minded for his and other's safety. Anyway he looked at the picture and remarked with a degree of wonder in his voice: "I never saw any coral before that looked like that!? - That picture must have been taken in the Pacific." When I told him that someone on sa-cd.net pronounced that the cover is "hideous" my 90 yr old dad said: " Well that fellow just hasn't spent much time under water."

I must admit to being confused by your posting.
The title is sea scapes and your absent minded dad is talking about the Pacific which is an Ocean.Are you suggesting the title should be "Ocean Scapes?"
Ive not been to Sweden but I do know that it is impossible to spend much time under water there.It is cold.Very Very cold most of the Year.Even suited up.My brother is a diver and he said he wouldnt spent any time under water there.
In fact he wouldnt spend much time in any of the Cold seas referred to by each of the composers..Perhaps your dad has.
Please clairfy .I have said I like the picture though it seems to have little to do with "The Sea" any more than the similair picture advert used for a flatscreen TV.

The January 2003 issue of 'Gramophone' had one page by its architect, Russell Johnson, discussing this and other halls.
Regarding Pacific water, newscientist.com has an article from the 29th of June on the clearest ocean water in the world, a particularly lifeless part of the Pacific, with so little chlorophyll that the water is violet rather than blue.

I've been hearing Singapore Symphony Orchestra(SSO) for five+ years. Together with a few live concerts, this recording made me believe SSO is a world-class orchestra claimed themself. The recording really captures the orchestra on its best form. Hope to hear more like this from SSO.
I'm not saying SSO is top tier world class always, but at least this disc from BIS is showing such quality.
