Hi.
Thank you including the Bach Suites recording (performed by Gavriel Lipkind) on your website.
I would like to ask you to update the image if possible.
When the recording just came out Phononet unfortunately used distorted images. Those images have been exchanged by phononet a while ago and show now correctly on most Amazon links and other shops.
May I ask you to update the image on this site as well? (I have included a link to the image below)
Thank you!
Florentine Gallwas (Lipkind Productions / Edel Classics)

I've been wondering: is "6 suites a violoncello solo senza basso" french, italian or a combination of the two?

Italian, 100%. The word suite is French, because the musical form is French, so they never translate it. A little bit like you always say "lieder" for German "songs".

Thanks Julien, I knew you would know. I haven't seen my Dover score in years. Some italian webpages say "Sei Suiten...", and the polish word is "Suita".

Right. Actually I remember that for many works, the words are different depending on the editions too. But I'm not sure a Dover score would be the best for Bach... Do they edit works like this?
