This recording was favorably reviewed in TAS #160 (March 2006) and was "recording of the issue". It is a set of contemporary vocal works, beautifully performed and recorded. Some of the pieces are secular, and others are not. My only complaint is that some of the pieces are too "modern": when played at realistic volume my wife yelled at me to turn it off.

The whole of this series is excellent with some of the finest choral singing one is ever likely to hear.

When excerpts from this volume were played on the radio, I thought some of the pieces might be too "modern" but after purchasing and listening, I found them to be very interesting and appealing. The first two volumes are not quite so "modern" although they are largely formed of contemporary music from the baltic regions, some of whom I had not heard before.
