Discussion: Wanderer, Works by Liszt and Schubert - Luiza Borac

I enjoyed this disc so much, I immediately ordered the other two Borac titles. Her Liszt is not overblown theatrics, and her Schubert feels genuinely frightened by approaching death. This faintly mysterious young artist plays with an authority that other pianists achieve only in their later years*; I look forward to her contributions to pianism in the coming decades.

Her SACD recordings of Enescu are wonderful. This music was unfamiliar to me, but I purchased the discs based on admiration of other music of Enescu's - the symphonies and chamber music. I'm glad I did, because her recordings have become favorites with first-rate mch sound.

I will certainly add this Schubert/Liszt disc to my shopping list.
