This may just be because they are not releasing in the territory that you're living in. It doesn't mean to say that you won't be able to get it from elsewhere...

Is the dealer aware that it's a dual inventory release? The CD is already out, the SACD is supposed to be released in July.
Most online stores indicate a release date of July 11, but Amazon France says the item is not available (normally, it would be available for pre-order). The HM website doesn't show the SACD, but maybe they only indicate discs that have been released.
So it looks like you'll have to contact HM to be sure.

My dealer actually contacted Harmonia Mundi and they said they had changed their minds and would not be releasing it at all. If anyone succeeds in obtaining it in "another territory" than Europe then please let us know. Meanwhile I've bought the CD so I can at least hear the performance.

Just got this from HM
Many thanks for your interest. I’m afraid the Bruckner 4 only exists in a CD version, which was released on 8 May. We were originally offered a parallel SACD version by harmonia mundi France, but it did not eventually appear and as far as we knew it had been cancelled from their schedule. We would have released it at the same time as the normal CD, so I don’t know where the date of 11 July came from (in any case, our July release date is the 3rd). I’ll get in touch with Amazon and see if I can clear this up, but the listing is rather curious and gives the label as “Harmonia Mundi France” rather than simply “Harmonia Mundi”, which suggests they might be getting their info from somewhere else – all info for UK releases of harmonia mundi product, whether it originates from France, Spain or the USA, should come via us.
Sorry to be the bearer of disappointing news; if it emerges that the SACD has been reinstated by France and we just haven’t heard about it yet, then I will let you know – but certainly a July 11th date is not an option for the UK.

brenda, this is the one. A friend of mine has it on cd and he doesn´t like it one bit. I had Herreweghes Bruckner 7 and it was a minor disaster. Thin strings and a lack of fantasy in the phrasing.
