Ordered this from CDUniverse, so will post a review shortly...i love the third movement of the Tempest, so really looking forward to this.

mark, hope your expecations aren't too high. The earlier discs are just average (sound v. good) and "light on". B

First I disagree with Brenda's assessment of the earlier discs. Second I love this recording. I am not so much a piano guy, so I played it (the Tempest) for a piano loving friend, he was as impressed as I: "As impressive as her double forte's are, her triple pianissimos are incredible." and "I've known this sonata for 30 years and this is the best recording of it I ever heard!"

That was just one guy's opinion however. I am relatively new to the work, strangely since it is obviously an incredible work of genius, and I have actually been around for awhile.

Anyway it would surprise me if anyone were to purchase this and later regret it, for it absolutely lifts my spirits every time I hear it. Stunning recording!
