Count me in with listening to classical music in multichannel. I had made a new year resolution to explore this further than I had done in the past.

With the likes of Telarc, BIS, Pentatone, and the MTT/SFS recordings, I am quite amazed at what I'm hearing utilizing just a Denon AVR 3803 which is by no means a high quality component but rather entry level to most.

I have become quite engrossed with listening in multichannel so much so that I upgraded my speakers fairly recently. I had B&W 603S2 speakers for the fronts, a B&W LCR S6 center and B&W DM302s in the rears. Nothing spectular but good for the money. I acquired Monitor Audio GR10s for the front and rears and the MA GR LCR center for which I got a rather good price with trading in my B&Ws and since MA is closing out that specific line of speakers to make way for a new design.

I'll also bring onto the table the Living Stereo recordings in 3 channel where applicable. There is just no comparison whereby I don't even bother listening to those in two channel any longer either.

Next will be an upgrade for amplification. I can hardly wait!
