I've sold a few on Amazon but of late they have to put it bluntly "got right up my nose" by repeatedly asking me for personal information that I am not willing to give them, required as part - they say - of their seller verification programme which has to be updated to meet international anti money laundering regulations. Because of my "lack of co-operation" they have suspended my seller account and frankly I am in no mood to do their bidding just to get it re-instated.

e-Bay is hopeless as nobody wants to pay the price and you lose too much to Paypal and the host on the way.

It was one of Zeus' more remarkable idiocies not to allow us - his customers - to swap and sell surplus SACD on here. He could always have charged a fee to offset any imagined losses from us by not buying virgin copy from one of the site links which most of us do anyway. I for one would have been quite willing to pay an up-front fee to have become a privileged SA-CD.net Club Member who had restrricted access to a "Mart" section of the website.

Anyhow, thanks for the intriguing suggestions.

Great that you worked it out with Ebay, but no one seems to have considered establishing a small-balance off-shore bank account for the purpose. Does Swedish law prohibit that?

Special banks for Öland or Gotland?

Humor, or you don't know what an off-shore account is?

But be sure to have your search setting in Worldwide, as I'm registered at eBay.UK, posting items for sale at eBay.com in the US, but a resident of neither country.

"MyToyLair"

Confusingly, one cannot see any of the items from ebay.co.uk, only from ebay.com.

Will keep watching. Thanks

Polarius T, even think of emailing complete lists to posters which show an interest or is that against regulations of SA.CD.net?

Blah Blah Blah

Since only YOU know what you have for sale, how about a list of titles that you can easily send to people here so people know where to look on ebay. My email is listed on my profile.

Tip: once you find one of his auctions, you can click on "see other items".

Ya sure. Once all 200-300 are listed. Well maybe. It's not like I don't know how ebay works.

The thing with a list is that it takes time and I have very little of it.

And it's all about one-wk auctions as I am in a bit of a hurry (moving date approaching) and so I am not sure if I can get everything on paper and out before the first batches have already been sold.

I have not even systematically gone through all that I will put up for sale, just removed stuff one by one from my listening shelf to my off-to-eBay box.

But I'll see what I can do.

For now please just endure the eBay difficulties, try to find me there (MyToyLair) and check the "See other items" under my seller name in the Seller Information section in upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Other than that I think the idea thrown out by Hiredfox would (have) be(en) great: set up a used disc exchange mart section here, and if you then feel that you should need to get some of that amazing money flow going into your own pockets, charge a one-time mart or club membership fee for those who want to partake (sell/buy).

But often it isn't greed but generosity that brings best results if your aim is to attract people (as it is with these sites of Zeus's).
