I just reviewed for the ARSC Journal Judy Garland's 1955 mono LP, Miss Show Business, that has now been restored by Robert Vosgien, Senior Mastering Engineer at Capitol Studios,and made available in downloadable high resolution. He has done it in surround, and the result is extraordinary. Very natural, very rich. Just goes to show that even mono can successfully be mastered to surround.
