Just got this today. Totally amazing. What's this other recording UCGG-7089?

Both are the same recording. This one is a SHM-SACD. The earlier release was a hybrid SACD from 2004.

The LP is pretty tasty as well and still available in near mint condition for about $3. ;-)

I own the DG Originals release of this album and it's a favorite of mine. Can anyone comment on how this SACD compares in sound quality to the Originals release? I'm also considering the Blu-Ray Audio release seeing that it's cheaper. I'm curious if it's worth the upgrade and to duplicate a recording in my collection.

The 2010 SHM-SACD was released before Universal Japan switched to DSD transfers, i.e. it was mastered from a PCM copy. Maybe the SACD and the Blu-ray use the same PCM master.

I didn't know about that Blu-ray. How interesting. Could have bought that instead I guess. CD Japan states "2004 DSD remastering" for the SHM SACD. Could mean remastered from PCM I guess. I don't know.
