Amazon keeps all of one's disc purchases in an archive and OK it is not the sole source of one's purchases's but plotting a trend graph from their data is quite revealing and as informative as the Grand Total number. Try it... What astonishes me most is how long we've been in the SACD game.

Got my 200th SACD title today and entered it on the database...

Bartok: Sonatas for Violin & Piano Nos 1, 2; Sonata for Solo Violin - Kelemen, Kocsis

Now I've reached 200 I might have a thinning out session.

Unfortunately in the states, hirefox, AmazonUS lists SACDs as CDs (on the order form) so an accurate number is not in my forecast. But perhaps AmazonUK is more accurate!

But one thing the Americans are adept at is wasting money. Tonight on the local news it was reported that it costs the US Government Mint $2.41 to manufacture a single penny. That is why there is a push to eliminate it from our currency.

So, a penny for your thoughts is now worth $2.41!

That's cents not dollars: it costs 2.41¢ to manufacture a penny.

The nickel metal in a nickel coin is worth more than a nickel too. Some billionaire bought a huge quantity of them as an investment last year.

I'm sure the $ will collapse catastrophically in the next few years, so spend it while it's still worth something!

So next time you bring a roll of pennies (100) to your local bank, demand $241.00 in recompense, Teresa.

Aren't you the optimist, Greg Davis.

Well after the collapse maybe you can buy the dCS Vivaldi for a roll of nickels!

You misunderstand. The roll of pennies would be worth $2.41.

BTW, Canada has stopped manufacturing pennies for just this reason.
