The fun part of this hobby is sipping on a glass of wine and reading disc reviews and critiques on sa-cd.net. Almost every time i end up with a new purchase. Now close to 350 SACDs.
Cut out the wine and you'll soon be up to 500. They sound better sober!

You got alot of ground to cover first, there is good stuff out already. See what CAN discs you can find on shelves somewhere
I usually come here and look for artists that I like, but obviously, not every thing comes to mind right away. So when something pops into my head, I come here and look it up and see whats out there. I still have alot to buy of what I KNOW is out there that I KNOW I want (I don't know how many titles I have added to my wish list), and items are always added to that list.
Realistically, it'll be a while b4 I've exhausted my wish list (even if it doesn't grow from here). So you are right, I have a ton more material to pick up :)

Far from average, I'm pretty sure:
Classical: 7714 RBCDs, 12 DVD-As and 405 SACDs Jazz: 1007 RBCDs, 3 DVD-As and 73 SACDs Rock: 1130 RBCDs, 78 DVD-As and 150 SACDs
For a total of 628 SACDs according to the database. I also have a few Blu-ray audio discs.

Currently, 99, including 35 SHM SA-CDs. The hundredth is arriving, it is the Goats Head Soup SHM SA-CD, the last copy sold by CD Japan. Among all of this, I have 52 classical discs (which is not much), but 41 of them are SA-CDs, which represents almost 79 % of them.

Can't say I agree with you- but hey that's life!
I am 22 and buy lots of SACD's at the rate I am going I will have 300+ by the end of the year. I like the diversity of the title's coming out- are there titles I wish would come out? absolutely but I am not going to sit home and be bitter about it- I have better things to do with my time..... Speaking of which I am going to go listen to some music!
Good to have around some young people being interested in high-end formats.
I am 27 and almost the only person in France knowing about the SA-CD format. I wrote myself the entire french Wikipedia article about it.
Cheers from Le Havre (France) !

as i've intimated before in forum, we all have too much money, too much time and are typically, self indulgently male. Which in this case, is quite fun.
Good point.
Except that I am poor, like almost everyone in France, but I keep beeing interested in good sound.

And probably appreciate them all the more. There are some bargains that pop up on ebay, good albums for 3 euro!

Yes, I do :-)
Unfortunately, I never trusted e-bay due to way too much dirty tricks, so I stick with Amazon, CD Japan and JPC.
I tried used SA-CDs for a while, thinking SA-CD users are more careful with their discs than any average people, yet I have been disappointed from time to time, so I only purchase real new items now.
