No, I bought it from Amazon UK. The printing for the RR Strauss I have is much better. I guess they had it made on the cheap, so as to save money for the recording :)

Does Blomstedt use the Haas/Nowak edition? Unfortunately, I don't have it. At any rate, I leave out the Urfassung and the 1889 (so no Young, Bosch, Nagano, and Vänska).

Ok, I see now that Blomstedt does indeed use the Nowak. I'll look for an inexpensive copy, and will add it to the review. I look forward to hearing it.

it's a regular issue, i.e. proper SACD, it's just that the printing looks a bit cheap, compared to what I normally see. But of course the sound is what matters, and on first listen, that's more than fine. The performance/interpretation seems a bit lighter than what I'm used to, somehow airier. But that's just a first impression. Detailing and soundstage are great, but that's what you'd expect from what is, as stated in the booklet, a "recording ... made and post produced in 64fs DSD on a Pyramix workstation to give you, the listener, the highest sound quality possible," done by Sound Mirror.
The microphone array used is with "five omnidirectional DPA 4006 microphones," supplemented with "spot mics to clarify the detail of the orchestration."
