While I'm happy with this release, and the other most recent APO remasterings I've listened to, I've pointed out the same issue *analogue* mentions here elsewhere (Miles Davis "Cookin' With", if memory serves): the transfers are so flat and transparent it's as if one listened to a session tape on an open reel deck, including tape deterioration and flaws. As a longtime record collector one learns to concentrate on the good and ignore the bad to some extent, provided the source provides enough information for the brain to work with. The latest APO releases accomplish that, and in doing so take transparency of the source material to a - to me at least - acceptable limit, which is why I'll continue to buy favorite records being reissued in this series. I'm afraid these remastering are the best we're likely to get before the tapes become unusable. But: they're not the miracle one may have been hoping for.

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Hi David.

We may be considered a little to picky in our tastes but I have to be when it
comes to this great jazz classic. I hope more fans who purchased this sacd write reviews based on their impressions. I always like to read what others think and are hearing.

Cheers,
Analogue
