David,Permanent Waves issuing June 2015, Digital Download.

It is very disappointing that only three will be released in Blu Ray Audio, Fly By Night, A Farewell to Kings, and Signals.

I wonder why they make a decision like that. It obviously is a business decision, I just don't understand the logic?

In case your listening RUSH, please do all in BD-A and I promise I will buy all.

I will surely do as well. But I feel that Only those three {fbn, ftk & Sigs} were mixed into mch and therefore released again in mch as bdas again. Other titles as digital downloads which is a shame a bit. Neverthelss I have been offered Zeppelins hires only recently and they sound pretty good so I am assuming that other RUSH titles would be great to have in higher reolution as well. Fingers crossed.............

My copy of this Blu-ray Audio arrived today, I don't know how to attach images here but I've put a few pics up if anyone is interested:

Curious if there's any difference between the Blu Ray and the DVD-A from Sector 1.

I never bought the Sector boxes so can't say.

It seems your buddy Keenly over at QQ dissected the FLY BY NIGHT mix and proclaimed it a disaster, calling it LOUD & COMPRESSED. And I'm sure the BD~A is derived from the same mch elements as the Sector 1 box set. According to the DR database, the older RBCD remastering has a DR score of 14 while the DVD~A in the sector box had DR scores of 10/11.

A wait and see (or hear) on this one!

Will anxiously await your decree, Mr. Adam.

I gave it a quick play yesterday (5.1 only) it is a bit loud and may well be compressed but sounded v.good to me. (He's not my buddy btw.. but I don't want to get into all that rubbish here!)

OK.....fair assessment.

Listened to the DTS Entertainment MLP DVD~A 5.1 of Everclear's So Much For The Afterglow. What a fantastic album. Musically all over the map....a little hard rock, a little metal....great melodies, hooks and wonderful production values. Great use of discreet channels.

Highest Recommendation.

And then there's Steely Dan's Everything Must Go. Another high recommendation. Sound is fantastic and the surround mix 'organically' blends front and rear channels for another interesting Fagen/Becker aural collaboration extravaganza.

Also gave Stone Temple Pilots Core another spin. The use of surrounds are spare but they're there.
