Actually, I'm quite impressed of the functionality of Fubar2000 1.3.8. At the very least, it will play one work as it should be played, whilst JRiver MC20 alters the track sequence of this three act gap-less title from DGG.

Only one question of Fubar2000. How can I configure it to play in "WASAPI" sound instead of Win7 "Direct Sound"? JRiver plays "WASAPI" sound mode without problem.

Correct ;-)

My player has its own Windows driver and excellent documentation on how to configure foobar2000. My first thought was to use Audiophile Linux, but it doesn't support my player and Yamaha doesn't have a Linux driver.
