I see Tomita's version of the Planets has been recommended, but not the original orchestral version. The best recordings (Boult, etc.) are extremely expensive, but the Chandos 5.0 SACD:
Holst: Orchestral Works Vol. 2 - Andrew Davis
Is quite fine. The music depicts each planet in turn, starting with Mercury and working outward. One of my all time favorite pieces of music.
