This got four stars (****) in BBC Music Magazine and five stars (*****) in Pizzicato Magazine. What do you think?

Based on my personal experience with a good many LSO Live SACD’s that I have in my collection, I do not see how anyone can give five star rating to anything recorded in Barbican.
I do not have this particular Bruckner but I assume that it was recorded in Barbican, and speaking of the Fourth I just ordered Karl Bohm/VPO on Bluray audio.

Isn't that Bohm recording slightly ancient?
Also I believe (let me emphasize the word believe as opposed to "know") that skillful microphone selection and placement can go a long way to curing the ills of a sub standard venue. The Haitink Bruckner may be a very fine recording in terms of listening satisfaction.

I own this SACD and it does suffer from the usual Barbican problems. It seems to me that the acoustic can't really encompass the sound of the Orchestra. It is not bad, but neither is it the best.

Luukas, you've been posting a lot of reviews and comments about discs. It's awesome that you're having such a great time going through so many recent recordings. But it does seem like almost every review you post is 4.5 or 5 stars and is pretty much a total rave - and your reviews typically seem unaware of the major interpretations available on RBCD. I'd suggest that if your every review is a rave, your reviews won't be particularly helpful.
I'm aware that maybe this is being somewhat crotchety, and that there does seem to be a language gap where English may not be your first language. And like I said, it's awesome that you're getting all this listening in and you're so enthusiastic about what you're hearing. But it might be worth being a bit more critical.
