Amazing sound throughout. Actually new liner notes from Al! Bloomfield seems to be mixed a tad louder than Stills. Overall great 5.1 mix. Al says "Child Is Father To The Man" is coming in 5.1! They don't make 'em like this anymore. Wow!

Will echo your sentiments. An incredibly immersive mix of what I have always termed a very guilty pleasure.

Was also surprised to read in Al Kooper's new liner notes that upon being asked by Columbia Records to remix SS in surround that he listened to every 5.1 mix he could get his hands on and the one he was most impressed with was Pet Sounds (presumably the DVD~A Capitol 5.1 remix) which I also LOVE even though it's been maligned in 5.1 circles since its inception.

Next up: Blood, Sweat and Tears: Child Is Father To The Man in 5.1 with that spaced out controversial cover.

Bring it on.....an exceptional album.

And special Kudos to Marshall Blonstein and the folks at Audio Fidelity for finally making this blues extravaganza available in multichannel SACD in exceptional fidelity.

On my 5.1 (or 4.0) wish list I e~mailed to Mr. Blonstein, I did include The Worst Of The Jefferson Airplane which I own on 4.0 Quad Reel. There is NO Jefferson Airplane on SACD and imagine experiencing their greatest hits in at least 4.0?
