Sorry for my bad English That relates to Sony/BMG France, because they launch the DUALDISC ! ... The declarations of the general manager of Sony BMG France are pitiful! :
"...Quant aux formats de type DVD-Audio ou Super Audio CD ils restent très confidentiels. Pour notre part nous ne sortons plus de SACD depuis quelque temps, après en avoir proposé quelques-uns (*). Ce genre de média suppose un équipement tellement pointu qu'il n' y a pas d'intérêt de la part du consommateur." (Sorry, I do not dare to translate).
(*) -> 1 SACD !!! Francis Cabrel. It is all! To make a test of the market with 1 SACD!

Here's an approximative translation:
"As far DVD-A and SACD formats are concerned, they have remained a very small market. We haven't released new SACDs for some time, after having released some in the past. This type of format requires such a high quality (playback) equipment to the extent that the consumer isn't interested in it"
Well, this statement is certainly too harsh, as there is a niche market for SACDs, just as there is one for high end equipment.
As far as the number of SACDs released by SonyBMG France goes, I don't think they need to release their own SACDs to see if there is a market. They can rely on market studies.
