Cool! This is very encouraging. I still, by the way, haven't received my copy yet from cdjapan, but I'm sure it'll arrive any day now. Any other folks heard the SHM-SACD yet?

By the way, I actually feel the same way about opening sealed items - when I purchase stuff on-line, I actually prefer used (and of course, in as nice a condition as possible). Kind of like new cars - the second you unseal the disc (or drive off the dealer's lot) - you've totally killed the original value of the disc (or car)!

I use regular Air Mail, and it sometimes takes 2-3 weeks from them. Thankfully, that's the exception rather than the rule in my case.

I'm usually not one to keep my music sealed (when purchased new, of course). I believe strongly that music is meant to be played, not wrapped in plastic. But, then again, there's no getting around the driving-the-car-off-the-lot analogy, and in this case, because the SACD sounds as good as it does, I'm more inclined to keep the Mo-Fi sealed. That's my convoluted thinking, at least! :)

Well, fortunately, there's a consensus developing that this is, indeed, a very nice version (see the Hoffman website). The one 'negative' comment, if one can call it that, apparently has nothing to do with this specific SACD, but with the way things were mastered/recorded in the early 1980s, that is, 'bass light.' But to be honest, I have a lot of music that certain folks say is bass light, but have plenty of bass to my ears, so now I can't wait until my copy arrives!

Wow, such a nice sounding SACD. Keep coming back to this SACD and sounds so good without getting fatigued.
