Clearly I'm in the minority here but I like it.
When I go to a concert, I don't go stand by the mixing board with some hope of achieving the optimal point to listen. I just enjoy the show wherever I happen to be. It's entertainment, it's a show.
Similarly, when watching concert videos I don't critique on the same level as I would listening to SACD / DVD-A / Blu-Ray. It's entertaining and great to see the boys playing one last time and very much looking like they are enjoying it.
Finally. It's Zeppelin.

Agreed.
I have both the BD~A and BD~V and I have absolutely no problems on my set up with the quality of either the video nor audio.
In fact the much maligned DVD~A of How The West Was Won 'cranked up' sounds fantastic via my Meridian 800 DVD~A player.

I heard "In Through The Out Door" on vinyl through several systems that sounded fantastic. I was so excited for the CD to come out, and it sounded very bad in comparison. Flat and harsh about covers it. Then they remastered a lot of the catalog. Again, I had high hopes. The first had come out when CD was in its infancy, so I thought they would have a better grasp on the digital medium. I was wrong. Again it was terrible sounding.
I will not spend any more money hoping they will finally get it right.

The recently remastered CD versions come with high recommendations, I recently purchased I, II and IV and I'm satisfied that this is probably as good as Zep remasters will ever get.

Do we really need SACD in stereo of these? MCH maybe, but not stereo.

Yes, MCH, for sure. But SACD would probably be; Jimmy Zep squeezing us for more money and then the final squeeze would be MCH, in his lifetime ?
Honestly, I wish he would just get off his butt and play the damn guitar and be done with glory days.

Mark, if Steve Wilson were to tackle the Led Zep catalogue and remix it into 5.1 THOSE would be the definitive versions.
As I said, I'm Led Zepped OUT. Tired of rebuying 'remaster' after 'remaster' in stereo. Even the thought of hi res stereo downloads doesn't excite me in the least.
As I mentioned in another post, Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh was celebrating his 75th birthday at our local Capitol Theater and those deadheads come from all over and take over the town.

I know, those Deadheads are quite the bunch. I saw them once in 68 at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park and then once for a Mardi Gras concert at the Cow Palace in the late 80's.
I never became a Deadhead, not heavy enough for me.

IMHO, you have to be 'trippin' to enjoy 4 hours of heavy Dead jams and it was never really my bag!
I recall seeing the Grateful Dead movie in Venice Beach, CA in the 70's and the REAL show wasn't on the screen.....that's for sure.
