Oh goody--now we can hear his pedestrian performances and nasal/plastic sounding guitar in even higher res! :-)

And therein lies the rub, Fugue.
Perhaps the higher resolution will add gravity to both the performance and the "nasal/plastic" sound of Milos' guitar.
Ever have a favorite film that you've only experienced on DVD and then watched it again on BD~V and exclaimed: WOW! All those minute details which escaped the confines of the DVD format suddenly take on a new resonance, both aurally and visually!
I never was a fanboy of DGG RBCDs.

No, if anything, it will more mercilessly expose the tone of his guitar. It's made by Greg Smallman, who uses a carbon lattice bracing sytem instead of the traditional wood type, and nearly all such guitars have a horribly artificial tone. I've played classical guitar for about 30 years, so my ears are quite attuned to such issues!

Perhaps that's why the guitar entrepeneur's name is SMALLman!
What is YOUR recommendation for the Concerto available in hi res, Fugue?
I favor the Romero's version on Mercury (SACD) and don't laugh, I recently became enamored with the recent 5.1 remastering (DTS) of Sketches of Spain (although not the complete concerto, of course) performed by Miles Davis/Gil Evans from Monster Music (culled from the three channel masters):
Can only be described as ethereal, haunting and moody!

I haven't sought out any hi-res versions since I'm so sick of the piece! Romero's is good...I particularly like Angel's--he's a fast scale monster! (Alas, it's only available on RBCD.)

Out of the 10 or more recordings I presently own of this work and the dozens more that I have heard, my personal favourite is Williams with Barenboim.
Rodrigo: Concierto de Aranjuez etc - John Williams

Result of age or snobbery?
