I am very much an SACD over Blu-Ray audio person.
I love the changes you have made. All for the good from my perspective.
Keep up the good work and vision.

I am now playing the new BluRay classical releases - what is the "best" replay PCM, Dolby True or dts Hd? A bit confusing.

From what I've read, and from my own experience, I prefer the LPCM tracks to either DTS or Dolby True HD.

You mean it's not obvious?

Not to everyone, steviev.

If one has a BD~V collection, DTS is usually the preferred codec so it can be somewhat confusing when confronted with three choices on a BD~A disc.

At least on the stereo Universal BD~As, I found that the LPCM track delivers the goods in a most delightful way!

Seeing the posts for Blu-ray Audio discs is interesting as it highlights the strange and erratic thinking of UMG with their releases. I see a number of discs that are in stereo only but were made available as multi channel SACD. How strange not to offer the same in the new format. Let's hope they have take on board the fact that many do want multichannel and seek to offer this where they can in future releases.

I don't care for Blu-Ray.

We were told we could chose not to see the BR titles.

So, why does the site default to "All formats" (thus including BR titles), everytime I return to it, instead of keeping my previous settings (SACD only)?

I don't know the answer to this question but I can tell you that others have raised this issue directly with Stephen & myself. Hopefully it won't be long before a solution to this is found but please be a little patient as Stephen is on a short trip at the moment.

This is not exactly what you were told. The Format selector is retained for the session, normally however long you visit the site. It will revert to All for new/subsequent sessions. If however you enter the site through the home page and click on "recent titles" or "all reviews" it will set the Format selector and take you to the corresponding page. If you have a specific format preference this is the preferred way of using the site. If you come directly to (say) this forum the Format selector won't be set ... you'll also miss out on most updates to content on the site. If there are significant future updates to the site the home page is where you'll find out about it first.
