Here is my choice of 80's bands/albums I'd love to see on SACD:

The B-52's (from first album through Bouncing off of Satellites)
Erasure- all of 'em
Berlin- Pleasure Victim
Edie Brickell and New Bohemians- first two albums
Tracy Chapman- all
Pet Shop Boys- all
Tears for Fears- (all) saw someone post it before, but worth mentioning again!

Ahhh....dare to dream.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Kate Bush :-)

They can start with "The Dreaming" - This would be amazing esp. if they let James Guthrie mix it....!!!

Nice to see some '80s music discussion... I'll add (with MULTICHANNEL in mind, including album suggestions):

Boston - Third Stage
Camper Van Beethoven - anything
Joe Jackson - can't choose between Look Sharp and Night and Day, so how about a greatest hits collection?
Oingo Boingo - Greatest Hits
Pretenders - anything, how about Learning to Crawl?
They Might Be Giants - Flood (January 1990 oughta be close enough)
Smithereens - 11
Squeeze - anything

Would like to second many of the suggestions, in particular: Edie Brickell, Tracy Chapman, Tears For Fears, Asia (and I don't even like Asia), Van Halen, and Yes's 90125 - now that's an album that would be awesome in multichannel.

While I'm dreaming, if I could also request MCH issues of Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual, The Bangles Greatest Hits, and the Stevie Ray Vaughan releases... close but not close enough (for me).
