Marius Constant, though he never received on screen credit created the iconic theme for Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone beginning with the second season in 1960. (Scored for electric guitars, bongos, saxophone and French horns.)
Bernard Herrmann wrote the music for the first season (1959) opening but CBS considered it to be 'too downbeat".

My first reaction too, then I saw that Marius Constant orchestrated Gaspard, as included on this SACD.
