On the remote there's a CD/SACD button. during stop you can press that button to choose CD, SACD 2channel or SACD multi-channel.

I ve done that but 5.1 is not working...my receiver doesn't have Hdmi imput, maybe that's the problem...is there any way to solve that problem?

Hi peraja

That is exactly the problem. To get 5.1 without HDMI you need to have an analogue 5.1 connection to your amp (cinch). You player does not have analogue 5.1 outputs. Just Stereo. And as far as I know SACD does not play through coaxial in 5.1 Just in stereo and in CD resolution (I might be wrong here, so please, somebody correct me if I am). If you want to play SACD in multichannel, you need to get either another player (a used one off ebay is worth a thought i.e Denon 2012UD) that still has analogue 5.1 outs or a new receiver with HDMI connections. For full resolution in stereo you just have to use the anaologue stereo outs on your player. Hope I could help

Why did you purchase a Pioneer player?

Frankly, I've heard anecdotal rumours that Pioneer may not exist this time next year.

Do not panic.....the two (player & receiver) does not match to serve you for multichannel plyback.....that is true -- you shouldve consult your dealer or here prior the purchase.....Onkyo does not offer any HDMI connection and Pioneer dropped the analogue 5.1/7.1 outputs which is becoming pretty common elsewhere.

If you have bought it only recently try to persuade the reseller or your dealer to exchange it for something different to suit better your needs.

B
I will recommend to upgeade your A/V receiver for something more up-to date with better connection capabilities. BE SURE THAT THE NEW ONE CAN ACCEPT HI-REZ SIGNAL FROM SA-CD!

best regards

Its hilarious how these Depeche Mode SACD have positive reviews on here and all over the web. They are compressed and EQ'd to hell. They sound bloody awful, try listening to an entire album on a set of headphones and you are on the way to hearing loss.

The original CDs, while not perfect, are significantly better with full dynamic range.
