To answer Lunna's recent query on SA.CD.net, Louis Armstrong Plays W.C. Handy WAS released by SONY as an early single layered Stereo SACD and is now OOP but still available at a premium.
Hopefully, MoFi which has been remastering the Miles Davis Columbia catalogue will see fit to re~release this highly vaulted album on SACD.

Rammie, this amazon link says it'll be released by Sony Japan in September, but only says "audio CD." The suspense is maddening - I can't seem to find any info anywhere else about this.

Probably, like yourself, I came to the SACD game late and missed out on this title when one could've purchased it for probably under $15.
I'm not a big fan of SACD 'reissues" but this title was very highly regarded and deserves an SACD reissue.
Unless otherwise specified, the SONY Japan remaster may be (at best) a blu spec RBCD!
Patience, my man. It may resurface in the higher res SACD format!

Don't overlook the upcoming AP SACD Satchmo Plays King Oliver. It used to be an audiophile classic in the vinyl days. Should be out soon.
I've been looking forward to this Louis Armstrong classic myself and Analogue Productions rarely disappoints.
