Just after I posted the review, I saw that the distributor (not a sponsor of this site) shows the title as out of stock but expected by 7/5/2013. SACDs appear to be a side project for ORG Music, so collectors who are keen to acquire this disc perhaps shouldn't wait too long to order a copy. The other titles ORG has scheduled are pioneering works of new music (Ornette Coleman's "Free Jazz" and "The Shape of Jazz to Come", John Coltrane's "Ole Coltrane") that were not state of the art recordings at the time (compared to Van Gelder's best work ca. 1959 - 1960).

I have both SACDs of The Bridge and Coltrane's My Favorite Things. The Bridge sounds spectacular while MFT is hardly audiophile but easily surpasses the remastered RBCD in the Coltrane box set.
Both are pressed in Austria (I wonder if AP has a hand in these remasters.....very similar packaging, etc.)

That's all the recommendation I needed. I'll order an SACD of "Ole Coltrane", one of his most interesting Atlantic recordings.

Nice video, Mark. Thanks for sharing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDOSAZMH8vU&feature=youtu.be
Unfortunately, the SACD of Ole Coltrane was announced but never released and doubtful it will be.
ORG released 8 fantastic SACDs and sadly, pulled the plug.

Ralph, you've been collecting music in multiple formats, so you know that's the only way to have access to a wide selection of the best remasters of older recordings.
ORG may have a dedicated market of high-end reissue LP collectors, but, as tailspin reported in another discussion thread, the returns on SACD sales don't appear to recoup the costs.
There is still an endeavour to remaster the best sources of older recordings in high resolution, but the delivery medium will not always be physical discs.
UM/Blue Note has released only 4 HFPA Blu-Ray titles of jazz recordings from the Blue Note catalog (http://www.hraudio.net/music.php?format=6&genre=2&label=133&page=1) in the US.
It is not clear whether they have any more in the pipeline. A review of the Herbie Hancock Blu-Ray, which I highly recommend, is forthcoming.
In the meanwhile, collectors should pay attention to the availability of titles that are on SACD, Blu-Ray or XRCD, and acquire as their tastes and budget lead them.
