Which would be the better purchase?

Warner Japan Multi Channel $31 shipped
The Doors: The Doors

Analog Products Multi Channel $30 plus shipping
The Doors: The Doors

The reviews on both are the same.

I first bought the Warner Japan version years ago, then I bought the whole set from AP. Can never have enough Doors. AP version in 2 channel has good SQ. Both has very little information in the rear, mostly ambient.

I believe the MC mix used by AP was the same source used for the Japanese and the DVD Audio as well. It was just the Stereo that was better on AP release.

I really like AP SACD's but the AP box set of The Doors 6 studio albums is way over priced. You can purchase the individual AP SACD's for $29 each (total for all 6 = ~$180) or if you wish them enclosed in a box with a unique number printed on it you can pay an extra $100 more. $100 for a cardboard box! OR am I missing something?

You can't get the empty box for SACD. I tried.

I think I'll get the Analog Productions one then since the stereo is better and it will "match" any other Doors SACDs I might get. I saw the box set and was wondering why they are asking $280 plus for 6 $30 discs.

The extra $100.00 is for the outer box that is numbered. Can't get the outer box anymore.

Don't know what you mean. You can still purchase the AP box set The Doors: Infinite. I don't think you can or could ever purchase the empty box on its own.

I mean the extra 100 dollars is for the nice box you put your 6 discs in. They cancelled orders for the empty box long time ago before the discs was out.

And for LESS than $60, I purchased brand new the DVD~As with RBCDs (12 discs in all) which came in a very nice sturdy BOX!

But from what I read even though its the same source as the DVD-A the sound on the SACD is better.
