Really! I have ripped the DVDA in its raw format for DS purposes. The MC is 24/48. The stereo is 24/96. Both sound superb.

Can't see why they would upsample from a 16/44.1 source for DVDA - It dosn't add anything. Can you?

Apologies. The MC is 24/96, the stereo is 24/48

I too was really mystified re: the Mo-Fi BIA and their continued re-re-releasing of content. Someone at Mo-Fi who decides the release schedule needs to take a look at Audio Fidelity's roster.
While they are doing a lot of "old stuff" at least their not double-redundant.
Sheesh.

Looks like this is shipping now. Anyone have it yet and care to share an opinion vs. the 20th Anniversary Edition?

How many different version of this do we need? I have one and I'm happy with it, release some new stuff. MOFI just don't get it.

Agreed! I would love to see someone release hybrid multichannel SACDs of Simon and Garfunkel for example. Something new would be really nice and worth buying!

It really is perplexing that S&G have received NO hi~res support from SONY in the form of SACD..... even in Sony's initial SACD launch!

Rumors have been persisting that they will receive the SACD treatment but EVERYONE has been secretively mum of any such releases.

Guaranteed they would sell like proverbial hotcakes so whether Paul Simon has NO interest in remixing his catalog or SONY is waiting for a 100th (?) Anniversary celebration is anyone's guess.

A very serious omission, IMO!

Maybe they're just waiting for all of us to get older so our hearing goes south and they'll just re-release a CD.

If the original Master is there, let all benefit from it now.

The S&G catalogue has seen gold remasters, Japanese remasters of every pedigree ad nauseum but no 'physical' hi~res ones.

You're right, Tom. When Sony does get around to it, they'll probably have to "bake" the master tapes to render them playable and by then, nobody who grew up with this amazing duo will be alive to enjoy them in 5.1 hi res!

A Bridge (in need of repair) over Troubled Waters.......Indeed!

Paul Simon also has a hiz res DVD~A 5.1 out....."You're The One"....admittedly, NOT one of his best!

If anything, give us Graceland (already mixed to 5.1) and S&G.........the original Brothers In Arms!

Accept NO substitutes!

++ BTW, Artificial sweeteners are bad for your health.
