I have listened to En Saga and the Second Symphony from this set so far.

I don't particularly care for Karajan's slow interpretation of the opening pages of the former, and the 1976 sound is slightly bright, but the revelation is the Symphony, a very powerful reading with a recording of exceptional detail and warmth - I heard woodwind detail which I don't recall being audible on RBCD.

I would be interested to hear how the Esoteric SACD compares...
