Performance: Sonics:
Titles like this always scare me. When DVD-Audio's first came out there were a series of live ones put out and they were horrible. Actually worse then that. So I was afraid this would follow that trend. I could not have been more wrong. The sound on this is easily up to the standards of Coltrane's official live releases. The 5.0 mix is excellent considering the source. This was recorded a long time ago and needless to say pre digital but it sounds great. Hardly any tape hiss and excellent separation. The Oscar Peterson one that came out sounds great as well. I really hope this company releases more of these because if they are as good as the first two we are in for a real treat!
