Reviews: Lord: Concerto for Group and Orchestra

Performance:   Sonics:
The best way to describe this Blu-ray is smooth. It's fun finally having a studio version (in surround) of this classic Concerto. Although different from the original Deep Purple version (particularly with regards to Richie Blackmore's extended solo in the first movement) this is a great version. The big difference is three great guitarists take their turns on each movement. Bruce Dickinson, Joe Bonassa, and Steve Morse, respectively. What's unusual about this particular disc is the documentary is considered the main event. You have to go into the Bonus section in order to access the actual 5.1 surround version. Thanks for the great music Jon! Really glad I picked this up!
