To clarify exactly what is on this disc, as I've seen some confusion elsewhere online..

The source and mastering are identical to the 2005 30th Anniversary CD/DVD set.

That is to say the 5.1 mix is Brian May's revisited surround presentation of Elliot Scheiner's original 5.1 mix on DTS DVD-Audio, with more compressed mastering. It is horribly loud and I cannot recommend it, if you have the DVD-A already you do not need this. If you don't have the OOP DVD-A and you wish to hear the 5.1 then you will have to shell out over the odds for it, this Blu-ray is no replacement.

The Stereo mastering however is much more pleasing to the ear, the only drawback being the High resolution here reveals tape flaws, distortion and drop out which I fear is inherent in the now worn out stereo mixdown master tapes. With some restoration, the Stereo on this disc could have been the goto disc when it sounds good it sounds really good.

As a footnote, the Stereo on the old DVD-A was hideously compressed and sounds diabolical, so for Queen fanatics, you could argue you need both discs!
