Performance:   Sonics:
I haven't had this Blu Ray very long but I've been listening to this album for decades. The clarity of the instruments is refreshing. It is so much better than the CD it is not funny and well worth the price for a classic piece from the Stones in their prime. Monkey Man has just started and the piano keys are a sweet.
Certainly some SACD's aren't all created equal but this is my third Blu Ray and all have been a pleasant and inexpensive surprise. Of course, like so many others out there, this is my 4th format purchase of the same album and I'm glad it is the very best.

Performance:   Sonics:
Rolling Stones: Let It Bleed Blu Ray Stereo Only

My other version that I compared this BD~A is the Serial #UIGY 9021 Cardboard Sleeve Mini LP SHM SACD, released June 30th 2010.

Performance: Of course an iconic Stones performance and I am certainly not going to add anything that you don't already know. Performance wise any recorded version will be OK.

Stereo Sonics: VS my SHM SACD, very subtle. I will make a note that my experience when I compare discs of same performance, albeit fun it does distract me from the performance as I am listening for differences, rather than the actual performance.
The differences are very subtle and I am not sure I would notice unless I did this A/B comparison.
Opening track the SACD starts a little right and goes left to center, whereas the Blu Ray starts off more center.
Acoustics, over all feel of this Blu Ray is better, more clear, if you will.

Not the best of reviews but let me say it another way.

If you already have the SHM SACD and you are not a Let It Bleed purist than you are OK, if you are a purist this HFPA release is better, to be simple.

I listened via HDMI, highly recommend and of course plays best loud.

Packaging: Plastic case, note, Amazon shows wrong picture of case. It does have inside picture of little Stones candles that where on original LP. Original liner notes and remastering notes giving credit to ABCKO Records, restoration producer, Jody H. Klein, with additional credits to original tape, DSD, digital, etc. Comes with digital download card.

For future listening I will now only listen to this disc as I feel it is better than my SACD.
