An acoustic solo guitar can hardly attract my attention over a whole record of about an hour. This one can for several reasons. First, it is the fantastic sound of the record so it is a pleasure listening to. Second, it is the extraordinary playing technique of Watanabe and third, it is the interesting and thrilling program that is performed. Watanabe plays originals and the music of greats like Bach, Scarlatti, Ravel, Grapelli, Lennon, Evans or Davis. Moods and tempos are varied well and will keep you sitting before your speakers till the last note. Paper sleeve cover like an LP
