Performance:   Sonics:
Its been a long long long time since I've listened to the Four Seasons. About 17 to be precise, and for a good reason, it got ruined by TV commercials. Anyways, I thought it was about time to give this piece another listen, so I added to my HMV Japan shopping cart.

Now, I don't have another version of this music, and havn't heard it in years.. it seems technically good, but its not grabbing me.. I'm not sure if its the music or performance. So I'm going to give this a puzzling 3/5 and let someone else give a more educated opinion on the performance.

Too the recording, well, it really is good, DSD direct etc. It has been miked up to sound good.. so its not subtle on the flute. DSD recordings really are just on another level, but I prefer the more subtle miking techniques of the 50's.

Daniel.

PS. I've realised *duh* what was bothering me about this recording.. its flute solo! and I don't really like flute that much. So please consider this bias.
